A supply order is a request to replenish a device’s consumables, such as toner or staples.
A supply order is a request to replenish a device’s consumables — toner, ink, drums, staples, or waste containers — usually triggered when remaining levels or projected page yield fall below a threshold. For dealers it is the fulfillment counterpart to meter reads: the same usage data that drives billing also predicts when supplies run out.
In context
Getting supply orders right means shipping the correct SKU to the correct device before it stops, without over-shipping and stranding inventory at the customer site. Manual reordering leans on end-user requests and guesswork, which produces both emergency rush orders and dead stock.
